PixelTap by Pixelverse Token Launch Date

PIXFI Token Launch Date

Pixelverse, the creator of the popular Telegram game PixelTap, announced that it will launch its PIXFI token on The Open Network (TON) on Thursday, July 18. The token will be listed on major centralized exchanges at 12pm UTC.

Rising Demand for Telegram Games

There has been a surge in demand for Telegram-based games. Earlier this year, Notcoin attracted 35 million players and had the largest gaming token launch of the year in May. Other games on Telegram are also becoming popular, with Pixelverse reporting 50 million new players in June.

Other Games' Token Launches

While Pixelverse is launching PIXFI, other games' tokens have not yet been released. Hamster Kombat plans to launch its token on TON this month but hasn't specified a date. TapSwap, another game, is set to launch its token sometime this quarter.

Pixelverse's Approach

Kori Leon, co-founder of Pixelverse, said they are taking a different approach by launching the token sooner. “Pixelverse, with its PIXFI token, is the first to launch in the Telegram ecosystem since Notcoin. This launch coincides with a market showing signs of recovery,” Leon said.

Funding and Investment

Last week, Pixelverse raised $7.5 million in additional funding from Galaxy and other investors. This follows a $5.5 million raise in June with participation from Delphi Digital, Merit Circle, and others.

Success of Telegram Games

Many are wondering if the new Telegram games can match the success of Notcoin. Leon acknowledged this challenge, saying, “It remains to be seen if Pixelverse will achieve the same success as Notcoin. However, Telegram mini-games have successfully brought millions of users into the crypto space.”

Airdrop of PIXFI Tokens

Players are eager to know if they will get an airdrop of PIXFI tokens. Leon did not give specific details but said the goal is to offer extended rewards and incentives. “Players will be able to claim and receive PIXFI tokens and in-game assets, but the exact details are still unknown,” he said.

Future Plans

Leon added that 30% of the total PIXFI supply is designated for long-term game rewards. The project aims to redefine tap-to-earn rewards without immediately disclosing token allocation to users.
